“Every article you read indicates that exercise, learning something new, and making new friends is a key factor in maintaining a person’s mental and physical health. Square dancing meets all of this criteria. It is family-oriented, a low- to moderate-level of exercise, and is medically recognized as heart healthy, and you will make new friends” That’s the word from Darrell Cheshier.
No special skills or talent is required to learn. The biggest expense is time and travel to lessons.
“Come learn from the best caller and teacher in the state – Jerry Stover,” Mr. Cheshier added.
Lessons will be held at the Parkview Christian Church at 2828 S. 9th Street in Chickasha beginning Mon., Sept. 12 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Dress is casual.
“It doesn’t matter if you have two left feet or can’t dance, just get out and try something new!” Mr. Cheshier went on to say.
