January is National Blood Donor Month, and your blood is needed.
Our nation is experiencing a blood shortage, and every donation counts.
South Central Medical and Resource Center teams up with the Oklahoma Blood Institute for the Lindsay Community blood drives, according to Tammy Aprill.
The next blood drive is set for Thurs., Jan. 20, from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Donors will get their choice of a long sleeve T-shirt while supplies last.
All donors will receive COVID-19 antibody testing. The new test detects antibodies from either natural infection or vaccine response.
Blood drives are held at the United Methodist Church, located at 114 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
Donors are reminded to take a photo ID with them to the drive. Those who would like further information may contact Ms. Aprill at 405-756-1414.
Appointments are encouraged and can be made at obi.org or by calling 877-340-8777.
