The Lindsay Living Sanctuary will be selling their famous pulled pork sandwiches on Fri., July 8, according to Cindy Grumbles.
The delicious lunch will include a pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, pickles and onions, homemade desserts, and drink.
“We’ll be serving from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Orders are available for pick-up at the church” added Ms. Grumbles. “We won’t be able to offer delivery at this time.”
The church is located at 501 S. Main in Lindsay.

LHS Classes of the ’50s to meet
Lindsay High School (LHS) Classes of the 1950s, including the classs of 1949, will gather for a tremendous class reunion on Sat., July 2 at 12:00 p.m., according to Marshall Burkes.
This reunion includes some of Lindsay’s finest, most colorful, and honored graduates, and will take place at the REC Multiple Purpose Center on Hwy. 76 north in Lindsay.
After the catered luncheon, there will be a Round Robin, plus prizes, such as the person who drove the most miles to be at the reunion, the person who flew the most miles to attend the reunion, and who has attended the highest number of class reunions.
There will also be a photo session for the classes.
Each class may have a class meeting immediately after the class photos. Everyone in attendance is welcome to stay the remainder of the day for fellowship and to enjoy the desserts.
Blessings are available to give or receive
A Blessing Box has been placed on the west side of the Lindsay Senior Nutrition Center, located at 310 W. Choctaw in Lindsay.
Those who are able may leave unopened non-perishable food items as well as new hygiene products in the box, according to Kim Dutton.
The items placed in the box will be available to anyone in need and may be picked up at any time. “Just open the box and take what you need,” Ms. Dutton explained.

Foodbank distribution set for Saturday
Lindsay Community Foodbank distribution for the month of June will be Sat., June 25, according to Lisa Jackson.
Food will be distributed at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 410 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
Ms. Jackson announced that the time to pick up food has changed to 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Those needing to fill out an application to receive food may do so at the church from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. The church is located at 410 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
Individuals or groups interested in making a donation or volunteering should call the church at 405-756-2781.
