Dinner in the Patch set at Methodist Church

The Great Pumpkin was here! The Great Pumpkin was here! – and he left loads of pumpkins on the lawn of the United Methodist Church of Lindsay.
The festive Dinner in the Patch is set for Thurs., Oct. 13, from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., according to Lacie Wilkins.
Beans, cornbread, fried potatoes, and cast-iron cobbler are on the menu.
The cost of the dinner is by donation. All proceeds to toward missions and camps.
Dinner in the Patch will be held on the church lawn, located at 114. W. Chickasaw in Lindsay. Those who have questions may contact Ms. Wilkins at the church at 405-756-2382.

Booths are available for Halloween Carnvial

Save the date! The 40th annual Halloween Carnival is set for Sat., Oct. 29 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., according to Lisa Hilliard.
Booth space is available, and civic organizations are encouraged to start planning their booths now.
Booths at the Carnival are a great way to earn extra money for civic organizations.
As usual, the popular costume contest will be held, along with the crowning of King/Queen, Prince/Princess royalty, plus the always-popular Bingo!

Family Worship Night planned at ESBC

There’s gonna be whole lot of glowin’ goin’ on. That’s the word from Erin Springs Baptist Chuch children’s pastor Levi McClain.
An evening for the entire family is set for Wed., Oct. 12 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erin Springs Baptist Church.
Mr. McClain explained that at Family Worship Night, families will share a meal, worship, games, crafts, facepainting, fellowship and lots of glowing goin’ on!
The church is located at 13053 Hwy. 76, South of Lindsay.
All sized families, from one person to fifty, are welcome to attend, Mr. McClain added.

Circus set for Thursday in Glen Curlee park

Come one! Come all! – to the Circus Big Top – on Thurs., Sept. 29.
The Lindsay Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Culpepper and Merriweather Circus in Lindsay, according to Chamber Manager Clara Doan.
The Big Top will be set up at Glen Curlee park, located at 800 S.W. 4th in Lindsay.
Shows start at 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., on Thurs., Sept. 29.
Tickets are available for purchase at American Exchange Bank of Lindsay, First National Bank of Lindsay, and at the Lindsay Chamber of Commerce. All of these businesses are located on Lindsay’s grand brick Main Street.
