Daddy Daughter Dance this Saturday

Are you ready for a Masquerade Ball? Well, the ladies of Beta Sigma Phi are – and that means it’s time for the 2023 Daddy~Daughter Dance, according to a member.
The dance begins at 6:00 p.m., and ends at 8:00 p.m. It will be held in the Lindsay School Cafeteria, located at the corner of S.W. 8th and Creek Streets in Lindsay.
This is a chance for the girls to get all dolled up, and their dads or father figures should dress to impress her.
All Pre-K thru 12th grade girls are welcome to attend with their Dad or Father figure, and dance the night away! Refreshments will be served.
“This is a night of dancing, having fun, and making memories. We hope you’ll plan to attend this event with your daughter,” Lisa Hilliard explained.
Reservations are not required. There is an entry fee for each daddy/daughter couple, plus a fee for each additional daughter.
All proceeds from the dance go toward scholarships, school projects, and community projects supported by the Lindsay Beta Sigma Phi.

Food Bank distribution Saturday

The Lindsay Community Food Bank distribution will be Sat., Feb. 25 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.. according to Lisa Jackson, program coordinatior.
The Food Bank is located at Calvary Baptist Church, 410 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
Anyone needing to sign up for the Food Bank may do so at the church Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Ms. Jackson explained the food bank can always use volunteers and that monetary donations are always apprectiated.

Foundation sets prom event for Saturday

Restored Hearts and Soles Foundation is hosting an event to assist girls getting ready for prom.
The Prom Closet was started 9 years ago because the cost of formal dresses are just not in the budget for everyone. It is designed for to girls SEE they are worthy of a beautiful dress.
This year’s event is set for Sat., Feb. 25 from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church located at 108 Loftin Lane in Pauls Valley.
The event is offering over 500 dresses. As the girls walk in, they are greeted with their very own stylist. The stylist will help guide them through all the available dresses. They then take their selections into a dressing room where they find the perfect dress. After that, they look through jewelry and shoes . If their dress needs alterations, there is a seamstress on site.
Event planners expalined that volunteers are needed to help set up, work the event and take down.
“Our hope is that they find everything the need for Prom. It is completely FREE!”, an event planner explained.
