All are welcome to come play or listen! That's the word from the organizers of the First Fridays Gospel & Bluegrass Open Jam.
That's right! An open Gospel Bluegrass Jam, called First Fridays, is held the first Friday of each month at Erin Springs Baptist Church, according to jam organizer David Weinberg.
Open jam will begin at 6:00 p.m. Most jam sessions will end by 9:00 p.m.
Time slot length may vary depending on attendance, and will be assigned on a first-come basis, excepting any special guest arrangements.
"Erin Springs Baptist Church has been kind enough to allow us use of their facility, so I personally request that we all behave respectfully in all ways, and bring no food or drink into the sanctuary," says Mr. Weinberg.
The church is located at 13053 State Hwy. 76, south of Lindsay.

Indian taco lunch set for Fri., Apr. 1
The Erin Springs Church of God is set to host their monthly Indian taco dinner on Fri., Apr. 1, April Fool's Day, according to Linda Brothers.
The dinner includes an Indian taco, dessert, and drink. Proceeds will go toward the church's building insurance payment.
The dinner will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church, located at 14028 E. County Road 1518, south of Lindsay on Hwy. 76, or just south of the Washita River bridge.

The annual meeting of the Bradley Cemetery Association will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tues., Apr. 5, according to Barbara Mitchusson.
The meeting will be held in the fellowship hall of the Fist Baptist Church, located at 134 E. Parker in Bradley.

Lindsay Red Hatters plan Saturday outing
The Lindsay Red Hatters will be gathering Sat., Mar. 26 to go to the Blanchard Methodist Bazaar. That's the word from Jane Pool.
The ladies will gather at the Lindsay Methodist Church parking lot, located at the corner of S.W. 2nd and Chickasaw in Lindsay, at 9:45 a.m.
"Come share a ride, and enjoy a day out shopping crafts and baked goods!" Ms. Pool explained.

Indoor yard sale will benefit Senior Center
The Lindsay Senior Nutrition Center, in association with the Lindsay Masonic Lodge 248, is set to hold an indoor yard on Sat., Mar. 26, according to Center Director Kelly Riddle.
The sale will be held at the Lindsay Senior Center, locataed at 310 W. Choctaw, and will begin at 8:00 a.m.
"We are raising money to help the center buy needed supplies," Ms. Riddle said.
"We'll have lots of goodies, so come down and do some shopping!" Ms. Riddle added.
