Blood drive today in Lindsay

Start your summertime adventure by giving blood.
The next Lindsay Community Blood Drive is set for Thurs., June 16, and will be held at the United Methodist Church from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The church is located at 114 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
All donors receive a FREE Adventure Starts Here t-shirt, plus their choice of one FREE adult admission to Safari Joe’s H2O, Science Museum Oklahoma, or Frontier City, while supplies last.
The blood drives are put on by the Oklahoma Blood Institute and South Central Medical and Resource Center in Lindsay.
All healthy adults, ages 16 years and older, are encouraged to give. Donations take about an hour and can be made every 56 days.
Donors are reminded to take a photo ID with them to the drive.

Lindsay Little League Cheer sign-ups set

The Lindsay Little League Cheer sign-ups are set for Sat., June 18, according to Amanda Carroll.
Sign-ups will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Lindsay. The church is located at 114 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.

Celebrate Recovery now serving dinner

Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday at the Erin Springs Baptist Church, according to Kim Dutton.
A meal will be served at 5:30 before the meeting starts at 6:30, Ms. Dutton explained.
Everyone is welcome and childcare is provided.
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, habits, or hangups of any kind.
Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our lives.
Erin Springs Baptist Church is located south of Lindsay, at 13053 Hwy. 76.

Weekend tours available at area museum

Weekend museum tours at the Murray-Lindsay Mansion and the Pikes Peak School, both located in Erin Springs, will include Fridays, according to Thelma Love.
Hours for the weekend tours are 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through the month of August, except for the 4th of July Weekend.
The Museums are closed on holidays, Ms. Love explained.
Upcoming summer events are Art in the Yard at the Murray-Lindsay Mansion Museum and the Annual Ice Cream Social at the Pikes Peak School Museum.

Lindsay Church to celebrate 75 years

The Missionary Baptist Church in Lindsay is set to celebrate their 70th anniversary this Sunday, June 19, according to a news release.
The celebration will begin with morning services at 9:45 a.m. A former pastor, Dennis Clark, will bring the message at 11:00 a.m.
All are welcome. Lunch will be served after the service.
The church is located at 903 S. Main in Lindsay.
