Quilt raffle set to help Pam Gregory

Pam Gregory is in need of a liver transplant. She must have money for the medication she will need following surgery or she will be denied the liver and placed back on the bottom of the list.
A quilt raffle is being held to benefit Ms. Gregory, according to Bev Barker.
The beautiful quilt was handmade by June Wilson.

Pancake benefit set for Pam Gregory

An “all you can eat” pancake breakfast will be held this Sat., Jan. 28th from 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m., at the Masonic Lodge, located at 421 S Main in Lindsay, according to Bev Barker.
ALL proceeds will go towards helping Pam Gregory with the purchase of her post-transplant medications she must have.
Ms. Gregory was recently placed on the liver transplant list and if a match comes in for her, she will need this medication immediately following her surgery.
If she does not have the money for her medication, she will be denied the liver and placed back on the bottom of the list.
She needs the liver now.
“Once you get to the south end of Main Street, you will smell delicious buttery pancakes with lots of syrup, along with bacon or sausage, and milk or juice to quench your thirst. You will not want to miss this!,” Ms. Barker explained.
A beautiful quilt, handmade by June Wilson has also been donated for raffle and will be shown at the breakfast.

Food bank distribution this Saturday

The Lindsay Community Food Bank will distribute food Sat., Jan. 28 from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., according to Program Coordinator, Lisa Jackson.
Food will be distributed at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 410 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
Those who haven’t signed up for the Food Bank are asked to come by the church between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and fill out an application.
Anyone interested in volunteering to help pack boxes or make a monetary donation should call the church at 405-756-2781.

Basketball fundraiser set

Lindsay Basketball Booster Club will be having their main fundraiser on Tues., Jan. 24, according to Shellye Register.
Along with the usual cake auction, a beautiful leopard quilt donated by June Wilson will also be up for bids.
There will be a live auction at half-time of the girl’s and boy’s games that evening. A silent auction will also be held and will close at the end of the boy’s game.
Ms. Register expressed her apprectiation to all those who support Lindsay Basketball.

Square dance lesson now being offered

Square Dance Lesson will be held at the Parkview Christian Church at 2828 South 9th Street in Chickasha beginning on Monday, January 23, 2023 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., according to LaVern Russell.
For square dancing walking is all you need to know how to do to get healthier, make new friends, learn something new, and your whole family will enjoy.
