LHS cheer, the pride of Lindsay, and the Lindsay Leopards will have a meet and great Fri., Aug. 11 at 6:30 at the football field, located at 800 W. Creek Street. Pauls Valley Opry performs Saturday
The Pauls Valley Opry performance is set for Sat.,
Aug. 5 at the Pauls Valley Junior High School Auditorium, according to Becky Hill.
The evening kicks off at 6:30 p.m., with music featuring the Memory Makers Band.
Special guests include Jae L. Stilwell, Michael Webb, Mary Alice Koehn, Terry Wilson, Lela and Michael Dalby, and Bailey Washburn.
The MC is John Williams.
Admission is charged, but children ages 12 and under are admitted FREE of charge.
Summer Reading Program starts Monday

“Everyone has something that makes them absolutely special, and this year at the Summer Reading Program, we get to celebrate that.” That’s the word from volunteer Mary Doten.
The Theme is ‘Everyone Belongs, Show Kindness.’
The program will be held at the Lindsay Library from Mon., July 31 through Fri., Aug. 4, from 9:00 a.m. until noon. The Lindsay Library is located at 112 W. Choctaw in Lindsay.
“This year at the Summer Reading Program, we are going to learn more about kindness,” Ms. Doten explained. Children ages Pre-K through fifth grade are welcome to come join in the fun, Ms. Doten explained.
The program includes snacks, art, books, guests and so much fun.
This year there will also be opportunities for the community to make donations for pet supplies (bowls, collars, food, toys, blankets anything pets may need) to support our local shelter.
“Come join us for some great fun this year at the Summer Reading Program, all on kindness,” Ms. Doten added.

Seminar set at Lindsay Church of Christ

Scripture, Science, and Common Sense: Three Votes for God is the theme of the seminar that examines the amazing evidence for the existence of God set at Lindsay Church of Christ, according to a member.
The church is located at 1205 Cherokee St in Lindsay.
The seminar, featuring special guest Eric Lyons, consists of five sessions scheduled as follows:
Session One: Fri., July 28 at 6:00 p.m.
Session Two: Sat., July 29 at 4:00 p.m.
Session Three: Sat., July 29 at 6:00 p.m.
Session Four: Sun., July 30 at 10:45 a.m.
Session Five: Sun., July 30 at 5:00 p.m.
VBS set for Saturday

Operation: Creation Vacation Bible School will be held Sat., July 22 at Lindsay Church of Christ, according to a member.
““Operation: Creation” is an enjoyable, Bible-based, educational, and age-appropriate way to equip all ages for a lifetime of defending their faith against the attacks of evolution,” the member explained.
Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the church located at 1205 W. Cherokee St., Lindsay.
Children grades K-5th will enjoy learning the differnces between Creation and evolution, and why we must choose a side.
There will be classes for all ages, crafts, refreshments and more.
“Make plans to join us,” the member added.
