The Lindsay Ministerial Alliance, would like to welcome everyone to this Year’s Fall Singalong Fund Raiser, according to Stan Ledford.
This fund raiser will feature local soloist, groups and choirs from our community Churches.
This fund raiser helps our cities churches reach out to those who need a little help living here in Lindsay.
This Year’s Singalong will be held at Lindsay First Assembly of God Church, located at 1101 W. Cherokee, Sun., Sept. 17th, at 6:00 p.m.

S.O.S. students to sell mums as fundraiser
Lindsay High School Students Our Serving (S.O.S) is hosting a fundraiser, according to Tara McGowen, S.O.S teacher.
The students have joined up with Marcum’s Nursery to sell 2 gallon container mums.
Mums are available in orange, bronze, red, purple, pink, yellow, crimson, and peach.
Pickup is the first week in October. Purchasers will be notified when they arrive.
Any S.O.S students can take orders or you can respond on their Facebook page.
“Thank you for supporting our program!” Ms. McGowen added.
Food Bank set for Saturday
Lindsay Community Food Bank distribution is set for Sat., Aug. 26 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., according to Lisa Jackson, program coordinator.
The Food Bank is located at Calavary Baptist Church, 410 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
Those needing to sign up to receive food from the Food Bank are asked to fill out an application available at the church Mon. – Thur. between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Monetary donations and volunteers who help pack boxes are appreciated. Those interested in helping are asked to contact the church at 405-756-2781.
Friday Night Lights to Shine this Friday
Summer is hanging on with all she has, but HALLELUJAH, IT’S HERE! Yes, it’s football time in Oklahoma!
Yes, the skies across Oklahoma’s plains will be lit with Friday night lights. High school football is off and running in southern Oklahoma, and games begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Lindsay/Pauls Valley game also known as “Battle on 19” is set to begin at 8:00 p.m.

Singing set at God’s Big Country Church
God’s Big Country Church is set to hold their August Singing this week, Sat., Aug. 18, according to Pastor Jerry Auld.
The singing begins at 7:00 p.m. at the church, located at 2215 County Road 1350 in Blanchard.
“Come out and worship with us in song! Bring your songs, bring your instruments, and join us,” Pastor Auld added.
The church holds their Sunday morning services at 10:30 a.m.
