Life is Better with Blood Donors blood drive is set for Thurs., Aug. 17 according to Tammy Aprill.
The Lindsay Community Blood Drive will be held at the United Methodist Church from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The church is located at 114 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay.
The blood drive is put on by the Oklahoma Blood Institute and South Central Medical and Resource Center.
All donors receive their choice of a FREE T-shirt and their choice of a ticket to Science Museum Oklahoma, Frontier City, or Hurricane Harbor (while supplies last).
Donors are reminded to take a photo ID with them to the drive. Those seeking more information may contact Ms. Aprill at 405-756-1414.

American Legion Ball Smith Post 23, Auxiliary and Sons of the Legion are hosting a bingo night Thur., Aug 17, according to a member.
Bingo will be played from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at 301 W. Choctaw.
“We hope to see everyone there,” the member added.

The 2023 Pernell reunion is set for Sat., Aug. 19 at the First Baptist Church in Elmore City, according to an announcement.
Doors will open at 12:00 noon. A meal will be served at 1:30. There will be a short program after lunch.
Brisket and drinks will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a side dish or dessert of their choice.
All former classmates, teachers, employees and friends of Pernell Schools are encouraged to attend and spread the words to others.
The church is located at 107 S. Texas Street.
The 50 year class of 1973 will be recognized during this year’s reunion.
